Scalia has served on the U.S. Supreme Court since 1988 when he was appointed by President Reagan, who was also the President who appointed the current Chief Justice, William H. Rehnquist. He served in the Justice Department under President Ford and taught at Georgetown, University of Chicago and Stanford prior to being appointed by President Reagan to the US Court of Appeals.

PREMISE OF THE SUIT
HEARTS are members of either the U.S. House of Representatives or the U.S. Supreme Court. The Supreme Court is made up of nine justices who serve for life and are appointed by the President as vacancies arise. They interpret and rule on the constitutionality of laws and rules made by the Congress and Administration when issues arise. They are in power because you voted for the President who appointed them.
